Summer Youth Staff / Counselor - Temporary
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Ada County are hiring up to 60 temporary positions between their three summer programs located in Garden City, Meridian and Kuna. All new hires need to be available to start work on May 24th through August 20th.
A successful Summer Staff/Counselor at the Boys & Girls Club is comfortable working in a high paced, high energy environment. They are enthusiastic, patient, energetic and enjoy building strong relationships with children and teammates. At the Club your creativity, flexibility and leadership of members will make for a memorable and meaningful summer. This is your opportunity to improve the lives of local families and children. We are willing to train the right candidates.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Managing large groups of children; Researching and leading group activities for club members in areas like the Gym/Outdoors, Games Room, Education Center, Art Room, Technology Lab, and Teen Center; Serving as a role model in behavior and character, providing guidance and discipline to members and light cleaning duties. All employees will be trained in CPR, First Aid, Child Abuse Prevention and Youth Development strategies.
Base pay is $7.25. 30 to 35 hours a week. Shifts vary but each facility is open from 7am to 6pm Monday through Friday *Weekends Off!* Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid social security number and be able to pass a comprehensive background check.

Member Service Coordinator/ Receptionist
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Ada County are hiring up to 5 temporary Member Service Coordinator/Receptionist (MSR) positions between their three summer programs located in Garden City, Meridian and Kuna. All new hires need to be available to start work on May 24th through August 20th.
A successful MSR at the Boys & Girls Club is comfortable working in a high paced, high energy environment. They are friendly, organized, energetic and enjoy building strong relationships with children and teammates. The MSR is often the first face and name that every parent, member and community member see when they enter the Club. It is crucial that our Membership Service Coordinator not only be able to provide great customer service but they also need to practice professionalism and attention to detail. Like any role at the Club it is an opportunity to improve the lives of local families and children.
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to: Providing excellent customer service to parents and members, accurate data entry, filing, answering phones and directing calls, cash, check and credit card processing, light cleaning duties and maintaining an environment of professionalism in the lobby. Preference will be given to candidates adept at using all Microsoft Office Products including Word, Publisher and Outlook Email as well as experience in a similar position.
Base pay is $7.75 an hour. 30 to 35 hours a week. Two shifts 7am to 3pm or 11am to 6pm Monday through Friday *Weekends Off!* Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid social security number and be able to pass a comprehensive background check.
