MICROSOFT UNLIMITED POTENTIAL GRANT AWARDED TO THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF ADA COUNTY

Soon the Club Members in Meridian will be mixing it like the pros in their new Audio lab.  Thanks to funding from Microsoft's Unlimited Potential grant the Teen Center at the New Meridian Clubhouse will have a fully equipped sound lab.  The Lab will offer digital recording and mixing, live sound engineering, and more. This year's grant will enable the Clubs to continue a phased plan to create an advanced IT Club with a focus on Networking, Servers, Software Development and Web Design.  

The response to the new programs in our first year, phase 1, (especially by the teens) far exceeded our expectations.  We look forward to finishing this multi phased, technology focused, programming that will help us reach even more at risk youth looking for a place where they can explore their creativity using state of the art technology and equipment that they may not ever have exposure to without these programs. Our corporate partnership with Microsoft has had an unprecedented impact on program involvement.  The enthusiasm shown by the teens for programs in the area of technology career development makes it obvious that this is a crucial partnership for expanding the opportunities of our teens.
